Casa Girasole is a recently renovated, one bedroom house set within the medieval village of Badolato along the southern Calabrian coast. There are spectacular views of the sea and surrounding countryside from every window.
The upper floor is an open plan dinning room, with fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar. A small terrazza is accessed from the upper floor. The dining/sitting area has a dinning table for up to six persons, a sofa bed that could accommodate a second person or couple and an elegant wood stove that Is needed only for 2-3 months of the year. And in which pizza can be cooked!
Stairs lead down to a study and then into a small hall from which the bedroom and bathroom (shower, hand basin, toilet and bidet) are situated. On the ground floor is a store area with washing machine and water heater.
The village itself has the usual piazza with a couple of bars and two restaurants. There is a small grocer shop and general store along the main street. There is a larger supermarket and other shops in the town situated at the coast below Badolato.
The overall ambiance and peaceful surroundings are ideal for artistic creativity.
