Timber Hill is a lakefront home in the Adirondack Mountains in upper New York state and sits on the shores of Long Lake, a short drive to town.
It is used as a summer vacation rental that is normally shut down in the winter. We would like to make it available during January - April to those who may need two to three months to write and create. The home can be viewed at www.timberhillonlonglake.com
Apart from the rental fee, utilities and heat would be required to be paid by the renter. Electric runs roughly $120/month. Heat is a combination of wood stove and baseboard from a hot water boiler. The fuel is propane.
A four wheel drive vehicle is required. Plowing as necessary would be the responsibility of the renter also which we can help you set up.
Area is beautiful in the winter, town is quiet but has a nice atmosphere at the Adirondack Hotel which is open all year round. Hiking, cross country skiing, ice fishing...winter activities! One hour drive gets you to Lake Placid, the former Olympic Town.
