A lovely writers' apartment that sleeps 2 persons on the first floor of an old palazzo, renovated to a high standard and situated in the historical heart of Salerno. The piazza it looks out on hosts live literature, music and theatre events in July and August. The long and beautiful seafront with many bars and restaurants is within 200 metres walk. Bus stops are close by and busses are frequent, both local and those that go to Amalfi and Sorrento. The train station is 20 minutes by foot from where you can travel to many historical places such as Paestum and Velia (Elea) in the National Park of Cilento, or to Pompeii, Vesuvius and Naples and much more.

Frequent cultural events such as concerts, theatre and piano recitals are organised by the City of Salerno, and the town itself is very beautiful, boasting an 11th Century Duomo (cathedral) just near the apartment, which is open daily to the public. The owner of the apartment is an acquaintance of English-speaking writers living locally and would be happy to introduce you to them as well as journalists and local politicians.
